New monograph published by MACK is out now!
Stable Vices brings together all of the primary photographic series and short films of Joanna Piotrowoska's career and crystallises a spectrum of concerns that preoccupy her oeuvre. Piotrowska’s work focuses on notions of protection, freedom and oppression, inspired by a range of sources from illustrated self-defence manuals to the writings of feminist psychologist Carol Gilligan. This extensive volume brings a visceral physical quality to her work, and includes texts by Sara De Chiara, Joanna Bednarek and Dorota Masłowska.
